Dating can be pretty confusing, and at times really stressful. Finding just the right person is probably one of the biggest pressures a single person (who wants to be partnered) is facing.
Let’s be real, that is a tough decision to make. For example…
You are dating this person. You think that this person is rad. You’re not sure if you want to spend the rest of your life with this person, but you figure they are a pretty great person to spend the rest of your life with. You get along, you do stuff together. But is there a spark? Do you actually love this person and want to be with them, or do you just love the thought of them? Of being secure? Of having someone else around to do the ironing because you don’t like it? And what if this person differs from you in some areas – maybe you have different religious beliefs, maybe you are a clean person and they are a person who loves the idea of being clean but doesn’t clean, maybe you think there isn’t anyone else out there who would love you. So…is this relationship living up to your values? Do you have to compromise big parts of you to be with them? Sure, some compromise is needed, but really, are you going to be ok if they are not into eating healthy and that’s all you do?
What would you do in this situation? Is this the right person, or not?
