My name is Jennifer Auger (it's pronounced like "oh-zhay") and I'm a mental health counselor in Enumclaw, WA. I've lived here for 13 years, and I've been serving people in private practice for 10 years. I absolutely love helping people in this community!
My education in family therapy started in 1985, when my autistic sister was born. Our families strongly shape who we are as people, and my sister’s birth has profoundly affected my life. I developed a compassionate heart and a desire to help, and those qualities have led me to help so many people and families facing a variety of challenges.
I studied and earned a Bachelor of Arts in Honors Psychology in 2006, and then I earned a Masters of Science in Marriage and Family Therapy in 2010.
For three years, I served as a therapist for Sound Mental Health and Multicare Behavioral Health. I helped people with trauma, anxiety, ADHD, depression, and various other issues. It was also my great pleasure to work with a collaborative group called the Child’s Domestic Violence Response Team (CDVRT) which involved working with other agencies to help survivors and their families heal from the effects of domestic violence. I find it a great honor to walk alongside those who struggle, and am humbled by the resilience that others show me in the face of trials. I find comfort in knowing that the story is not finished and that healing lies ahead.
I opened a private counseling practice in 2011 and transitioned out of agency work. Since, then I have had the privilege of helping hundreds of people overcome adversity and improve their lives!
